The Materials

The beech wood handle is certified to FSC 100% standard, meaning the timber is sourced from responsibly managed forests with full chain of custody documentation. Beech is a naturally dense, close-grained hardwood that holds up well in a damp kitchen environment without warping or softening quickly.

The bristles are Union Fibre, a traditional natural blend of two plant-based materials. Tampico is derived from the agave cactus and contributes a firm, resilient scrubbing action. Palmyra comes from the base of the leaf stalks of the India palm and adds durability and body to the blend. Together they produce a bristle that is stiff enough to shift stuck-on food from pots and baking trays without scratching most cookware surfaces, and that sheds no synthetic fibres into the water throughout its life. How to Use and Care For It

Use with our kitchen soap bar on wet pots, pans, and baking trays. Apply firm pressure in short scrubbing strokes for stubborn residue. Rinse thoroughly after each use and store upright or hanging to allow the bristles to dry. Keeping the brush dry between uses extends its life and prevents the bristle deterioration that comes from prolonged moisture. Not suitable for non-stick coatings where firm scrubbing would cause damage.
