About Zero Waste Supply
TL;DR
I'm Rob. Zero Waste Supply Co. is where I curate beautifully made products from small UK producers who do things properly.
After years in corporate life, I got fed up with mass-produced products full of chemicals I couldn't pronounce, plastic packaging I didn't want, and marketing claims that didn't stand up to scrutiny. So I went hunting for the real thing – products made with quality materials, genuine care, and honest values.
What we do: Curate exceptional natural products from small UK makers who do things properly
Why we do it: Because quality matters, and you deserve to know what's actually in the products you use
How we do it: We personally vet every product for materials, ingredients, and maker credentials
Every product we stock meets our criteria: natural materials, genuinely beneficial ingredients, no nasty chemicals, and made by people who care about their craft. Plus, they have to feel wonderful to use and look beautiful in your home.

The Full Story
Hello, I'm Rob. This whole thing started quite by accident – I was just trying to get some e-commerce experience and maybe land a job in the field. So I set up a little web store to sell all the books, trinkets, and bric-a-brac I had in storage (some of which I'd been lugging around for decades, plus things from my parents' estate).
I was fed up with eBay's fees and their platform wasn't ideal for the sorts of things I was selling, so off I went with mylittlejunkshop.com. It didn't do too badly, actually.
The Lightbulb Moment
While building that first site, I had the opportunity to sell some "sustainable" products from a new supplier. Being someone who cares about quality and where things come from, I started looking into them properly. But here's where it got interesting – most of them were pretty disappointing.
Polyester marketed as premium. Harsh chemicals wrapped in nice packaging. Products that felt cheap despite costing a premium. The quality just wasn't there, no matter how good the marketing looked.
That was my lightbulb moment. I started hunting for the real thing – suppliers making genuinely quality products with materials you'd actually want touching your skin or sitting in your home. The proper stuff: natural fabrics, quality ingredients, thoughtful craftsmanship, and makers who genuinely care about what they create.
I found a treasure trove of small UK producers creating exceptional products that were also beautifully made, honestly priced, and an absolute pleasure to use.
Where It All Comes From
This appreciation for quality didn't come from nowhere. I've always been someone who notices the difference between something well-made and something just marketed well. Growing up, I learned to value things that lasted, materials that felt right, and the satisfaction of products that actually worked as promised.
After twenty years in corporate project management at places like BP and Santander, I'd seen enough of the disconnect between what companies say and what they actually deliver. I wanted something different – to work with makers who put quality and honesty first, not marketing spin.
Looking at today's market – endless choice, confusing claims, products that feel cheap despite premium prices – I realised there was space for something honest. A place where quality, natural materials, and genuine craftsmanship came first.
What We're Actually About
Zero Waste Supply Co. has three clear aims:
Source and Curate Exceptional Products
We work with small UK producers who are genuinely committed to their craft. People who choose natural materials because they perform better, who avoid harsh chemicals because gentler ingredients work just as well, and who create products that feel wonderful to use. We do the hard work of finding these makers so you don't have to wade through the marketing noise.
Honest Information
We share genuine details about materials, ingredients, and why these products work so well. No corporate waffle – just honest information about what makes quality products different. Whether it's explaining why bamboo viscose feels silky-soft or why natural soap ingredients are kinder to your skin, we tell you the real benefits.
Support Quality Makers
Every purchase supports small UK producers who are doing things properly. It's about building a community of people who appreciate quality, natural materials, and honest business practices. And as a bonus? These products happen to be plastic-free, zero waste, and genuinely sustainable – because quality and sustainability naturally go together.
Living the Change
I'm not perfect (who is?), but I've replaced the harsh, chemical-laden, plasticky products in my home with things that actually feel good to use. Natural soaps that don't dry your skin. Bamboo socks that keep your feet fresh all day. Cleaning products that work brilliantly without the chemical smell.
I live in the Thames Valley with my two dogs (who get daily 5-mile walks) and some Ukrainian guests. This business gives me the chance to share quality products with others who care about what goes on their skin and in their homes.
It's not just about selling products – it's about proving that choosing quality and natural materials doesn't mean compromising on performance or pleasure. In fact, it's usually better.
