The Woman Behind the Brand

Seònaid (pronounced Shona) runs SH Designs from her desk in Scotland, where you will usually find her drawing, painting, designing, or working through her admin with a cup of tea and a good playlist for company. She started her business in September 2019 with five notebook designs, driven by a love of stationery, pattern-making, and beautifully considered everyday objects.

The business has grown steadily since then, expanding into notebooks, greeting cards, prints, clothing, and the hand-sewn goods that brought her to us: the reusable face wipes that have become a firm favourite with our customers.

Every fabric pattern used across her products is her own original artwork. Nothing is licensed in, nothing is generic. When you buy an SH Designs face wipe, the print on it exists because Seònaid sat down and drew it.

Made by Hand, Every Single One

These are genuinely handmade products in the truest sense. Each face wipe is hand sewn individually by Seònaid herself, not contracted out to a factory, not produced in bulk runs. The fabric is printed by a supplier using eco-friendly pigment inks, and orders are packed with minimal plastic packaging.

The result is a product with a quality and consistency that reflects someone who cares deeply about what leaves her hands. At approximately 9cm square and made from soft natural cotton, they are gentle enough for sensitive skin and hold up beautifully through repeated machine washing.
